Rules & questions
Good to know
The essentials on partners, substitutes, and defaults. The full rulebook has every detail.
I don't have a partner — can I still join?
You’ll need a partner to compete. If you’re looking for one, message Antonio Sierra at +1 (415) 694-2200, or contact the Front Desk, and they’ll help you connect with other players at your level.
What if I don't know my rating?
We recommend attending a clinic where a coach can evaluate you and place you in the right division. All league matches are tracked on the WPR scale through the Bay Padel app.
What happens if I miss a week because I'm traveling?
We understand that players travel and schedules change.
You have several options. You can:
- Play the match before your trip
- Play the match after you return
- Find a substitute
- Play multiple matches during another week to catch up
Players will have visibility of the league schedule from the beginning of the season, so you can plan your matches around your travel.
For rescheduled matches, all players must agree on the new date/time and the court must be available.
Can we change partners mid-season?
Teams keep the same partnership through the 8-week season. Partner changes are allowed once a season wraps. Partners are allowed due to injury or relocation.
What if a team can't play a given week?
Coordinate to reschedule before Week 8 (Finals Week). If a team can’t play and can’t find a substitute, the match is a default. A no-show past 15 minutes defaults a set; past 25 minutes, the match.
How are ties in the standings broken?
In order: win/loss points, then head-to-head, then set win %, then game win %.
